ANTI-BULLYING WEEK

Class 5 is a small class of Year 5 & 6 children, taught by Miss Brown. On a Wednesday however, the children are taught by Mr Mower, our school sports coach (from Premier Sport) and on a Monday the children have Mrs Wood, our school's Spanish teacher for their weekly Spanish lesson.

Once a week, Mrs Hickford takes Class 5 for an afternoon so that Miss Brown can have her PPA (Planning/Preparation/Assessment) time. The class enjoys the variety of people and activities through the week and actively look forward to the varied sessions.

We enjoyed a range of different topics last year from The Mayans to Space and from The Water Cycle to Plant Life Cycles and so we are looking forward to what this year has to offer!

Premier Sport work with us on a weekly basis to support our school's delivery of high quality and varied PE sessions. Class 5 usually have their session every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm, but on occasion this has been known to have to move so it is always beneficial to leave P.E. kits in school Monday through to Friday to cover any changes to regular sessions..

As part of our P.E. curriculum, we have a 40 minute swimming session to look forward to each week in the summer term.

Children in Year 6, are given the opportunity to go on a residential activity during the summer term. This year the trip takes place in June and the children already cannot wait to attend!

Summer terms always bring lots of fun to our school. Each year there is a Country Dance Festival, as well as the Swimming Gala, Sports day and visits to Ormiston Rivers Academy!

We have an exciting year ahead of us!
